What will the Hawks do in the NBA draft?

List picks for #3, #11 or if you think there will be a trade, put it in detail.

What will the Hawks do in the NBA draft?nba finals

Pick 3- Mike Conley, Jr.

They need a good point guard, and a guy who can drive like no one's business, pass very well, and fly down the court and up to the rim, so he's perfect for their Suns-like offense.

Pick 11- Al Thornton

Scouts are comparing him to Shawn Marion, except with a bit more offensive firepower. Perfect to fit into the fastbreak offense at power forward.

What will the Hawks do in the NBA draft?college football ,nba teams

theyre gonna get Al Horford at #3 and Acie Law at #11
Wow.........ok I guess here goes...

First, they will NOT trade any of those picks that they have, only because they do need depth. With that being said, here goes..

With the 3rd pick, they will either take Mike Conley Jr. (The PG from Ohio St.) because they do need a guard to compliment Joe Johnson, Yi Jianlan (6'11 PF/C from China), because he is a big man, Al Horford (6'10 PF/C from Florida), same as Jianlan or Brandon Wright (6'8 F from UNC), only cause he is an athlete (with a 7'6 wingspan). However, seeing as how they already have too many big men, and not enough small men (also seeing how they passed up on C.Paul, D.Williams, M.Williams, etc....) they are going to take a guard here. With that, the 3rd pick from the Hawks will be Mike Conley Jr.

With the 11th pick, they can almost take anyone here. ALMOST ANYONE THAT IS NOT A GUARD OR A SMALL FORWARD (Because they have enuff of both now)Here is who might be left here: Spencer Hawes, Joakim Noah, Yi Jianlan. Seeing as how they just might want a big man, they will probably go with either Hawes first, Noah second, Jianlan third, or the best big man on the board that is left.
**** the hawks!!
i think they will take mike conley jr with the #3 pick and spencer hawes with the #11

that will give them a starting 5 of:

PG-Conley

SG- Joe Johnson

SF- Josh Childress

PF- Marvin Williams

C- Sheldon Williams

that would also let Josh Smith be a Ben Gordonesque type of player: closer

if M. Williams turns out to be a bust like I think he will, Hawes could slide into the starting lineup at C and move Sheldon to PF where he wont be undersized at 6'9"
Billy knight's head is on the table if he doesnt get the guys this team needs to win. With the 3rd pick they need to take hortford because he is nba ready and can contribute immediatley. He would also give the hawks a post prescence that they have been missing for years. With the 11th pick they HAVE to get a point guard. I see some of these mock drafts with them drafting brandon or julian wright. BAD CHOICE!!! they do not need any more wing players for the next 5 years. They need to take acie law because he has chauncey billups potential. The hawks can be real competators in the east real soon if they take hortford and law. Their lineup will be athletic and versatile and will be hard to beat once they let all the young players develop.
at # 3 I think they will either take Horford or Noah. Problbly Horford there because they lack a solid post presense. at #11 if Conley Jr. can fall that far it would be great as he would be a steal for a team that lacks a PG. if he's gone i see them taking the experianced Acie Law IV there.
I'm saying Horford at 3 and Acie Law at 11.

Horford is a strong and athletic big man who can really help the team. Acie Law is a great point guard who was the leader of his team last year. They should both have great rookie seasons.
they need to get Yi and connelly jr. if they do they will make the playoffs in the east within 2 years. yi is going to be an allstar if used right, and connelly will be a good starting point guard for many years. connelly will never be an all star but yi has championship caliber player type ceiling.
Atlanta definitely holds all the keys to the draft. The number 3 pick is the swing pick. With that said, Billy Kinght doesnt know what to do with it. So, trade to pick to Portland along with Josh Childress, and matching contract for Lamarcus Alridge, Zach Randolph who the Blazers seem to want to give up for cheap. Then at the 11, take Acie law over Crittenton. Acie Law is the most NBA ready point guard, with room to improve. Only thing is Crittenton is from Georgia tech, which might persuade Billy Knight to take him. But think of the starting lineup they could field if they pckage that 3rd pick. and there in the east to remind people.

pg - acie law

sg - joe johnson

sf - josh smith

pf - zach randolph

c - lamarcus alridge

bench

speddy claxton

marvin williams

Agree with GSBARON, they take Hortford or Wright with the 3rd and then go PG with the 11th, Law or Conley, Jr., whom will not be available. Can't see the Hawks burning the third pick to get COnley, Jr., who although a good player is not that far above the potential of Crittenton and Law's experience. Very easily see Conley if passed at 3 going to the Celtics, they have Telfair, Rondo and West but neither Rondo or West are true PGs and Telfair is supposedly GONE. A lot of the Celtics pick revolves on if they can make some trades and the health of Allen. Look for Hawks taking one of the bigs!!!
